Despite the simmering multi-front war which surrounds them, in less than two weeks Israelis will show up to the polls in droves. They will choose their leaders with votes, not violence. Sadly, the same cannot be said for the bulk of Israel’s neighbors.
So, Who’s Going to Win?
We’ve been asked this question more than once in the past few days. Setting aside the fact that we have no idea and recalling that CUFI takes no position on internal Israeli politics, the reality is that who wins will not change our relationship to the nation of Israel in any way.
Christian support for Israel is unchanging regardless of who is in power in Jerusalem (or Washington, for that matter), because it is not a political position. Christian Zionism is a religious mandate rooted in Biblical literacy – facts utterly lost on Israel’s adversaries.
Case in point: recently the Palestinian Authority’s emissary to the Court of St. James (UK), claimed that the Bible was a “Palestinian book,” and that the Palestinian people are, in fact, the “people of the Book.”
(it’s cool, we’ll wait until you’re done laughing).
CUFI founder and Chairman Pastor John Hagee was asked about this by Fox News, and he noted, “The Palestinians aren’t the ‘people of the Book.’ When the ‘Book’ was written, the term Palestinian had not yet been coined.”
The Palestinians and Their Sycophants
Christians read the Bible. They, like many in the Jewish community, study it. No one is going to convince billions of followers of Jesus of Nazareth that he was a member of a nationality that didn’t exist at the time in question, or that everywhere Jews are referenced in the Bible, one should just ignore it.
To be fair, the Palestinian ambassador is hardly the only individual peddling this garbage. Readers may recall that some weeks ago CNN promoted the views of Jew hater Rev. Munther Isaac who likewise promotes a fictious, insulting and grotesque narrative wherein Jews essentially never existed, and that which is written in the Bible is excruciatingly contorted to fit a Palestinian Supremacist narrative.
It’s worth noting that all that was shared with you, our readers, about Mr. Isaac, was also shared with CNN. You’ll be shocked to learn they didn’t bother to let their audience know the depths of Mr. Isaac’s hatred.
Nonetheless…
The lies the Palestinian emissaries tell the world do not change history or the reality on the ground. It’s the Israelis, not the Palestinians, that will be choosing their leaders, peacefully, in a couple of weeks.
And that’s the real victory.
Despite the multi-front war, despite the very worst Hamas, Hezbollah, the Houthi’s, Iran, Al Jazeera, CNN, AOC, Tucker Carlson, and the United Nations could throw at Jerusalem, Israel continues to be a thriving Jewish and democratic state.
It is by the Word of God and the virtue of that democracy that Israel has an inalienable right to defend itself. And it is, likewise, by the Mandate of God that Christians around the world will continue to stand with Jerusalem – regardless of what “Palestine’s” mouthpieces have to say.
Sincerely,
The CUFI Action Fund Team |
