As we entered the camp the first thing we saw was the burned down buildings, but a little farther on we got the shock of our lives. There on the ground in the middle of the burned buildings was the charred remains of the Jewish slain [or slave] workers, the smell of the bodies was sickening. They were stretched out in all kinds of forms misshaped forms. Some with their mouths open in agony, others shot and burned looking like waxed figurines, and still others burned so bad you could not recognize them at all.
Excerpt of a letter written by Arnold A. Eiferman, an American soldier with the 12th Armored Division, on April 27, 1945 after his unit “overran” a subcamp of the infamous Dachau Death Camp.
In the house there are no longer walls or doors, only one large void. [...] The children lie on the small beds: blonde twin girls with wavy hair that is still soft. On the second bed lies their little brother, the bud of his life withered all at once. They look as if they are sleeping. But the soot on their faces tells of eternal sleep. The parents lie on the floor. They were shot, it seems, by the bullets that pierced the heavy door as they blocked it with their bodies so the murderers could not get in. A beautiful family, a family of the people of Israel.
Excerpt from a letter written by an undisclosed officer of Israel’s elite Naval Special Warfare Unit, written on or about October 9th, after approximately 36 hours of encountering the full horror of the 10/7 Massacre.
What can we possibly say? The Israeli warrior who wrote the letter outskirts of Kibbutz Be’eri sees this world in which we live. He sees the 45 events being held across the United States celebrating the 10/7 massacre as well as the more than 200 similar displays of grotesque and malicious glee displayed the world’s Jew haters.
More than 80 years after Arnold Eiferman wrote that letter to his wife, another attempted genocide took place against the Jewish people. It was stopped because this time there exists a Jewish state with an army of its own. It was stopped because there exist Jewish warriors like the unnamed Special Operator.
As for us and our house, we will ensure that the nation of Israel always has the means and ability to defend her children from descendants of Amalek – regardless of what language they speak, or excuses they make.
Sincerely,
