After a lull in the fighting this past weekend, Iran and its proxies launched attacks against American forces and Saudi oil infrastructure, and they continue to threaten ships in the Strait of Hormuz. The US has responded by hitting dozens of IRGC targets.

The meeting, this week, between President Trump and Prime Minister Netanyahu went well, by all accounts. And, Jerusalem’s efforts to work with Beirut to rid Lebanon of Hezbollah continue to move forward very slowly - on account of the Lebanese army being unaccustomed to fighting, but forward nonetheless.

Consider yourself updated. Now, we’re going to turn to something else because you’re the target, and you should be aware.

CNN Goes Al Jazeera

Recently, CNN ran a piece describing violence against Christians in Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria. The Washington Post ran a similar piece earlier this month. So, is there a rash of “settler violence” against Christians in Israel? Nope.

There is small percentage in every population, the US and Israel included, that are simply not good. And in civilized societies, like the US and Israel, such individuals are dealt with by the law. But the claim that Israel is/the Jews are the problem (shocking, never heard that before) is false.

In fact, Christians who live in the Jewish and democratic state of Israel enjoy what we in the US would call a good life. Unlike the Christian population under, for example, Palestinian controlled Bethlehem, the Christian population grows year-after-year in Israeli controlled lands.  And, unlike the rest of the Middle East, the Christian population of Israel remains a stable, consistent percentage of Israel’s total population. Elsewhere in the region, the Christian population has been and remains in decline.

Today, at least 184,000 Christians live in Israel. There are approximately 50,000 Christians who live under PA rule within Judea and Samaria.

What has happened, and continues to happen despite the media’s emphasis elsewhere, is that the PA and Hamas have been engaged in a consistent effort to rid territory under their control of a Christian presence.

This is What Wannabe Apartheid (actually) Looks Like

You don’t have to take our word for it, according to the 2006 (that’s right, this isn’t new) State Department Report on International Religious Freedom:

The PA judiciary failed to adjudicate numerous cases of seizures of Christian-owned land in the Bethlehem area by criminal gangs. There were credible reports that PA security forces and judicial officials colluded with gang members to extort property illegally from Christians. In previous years, PA officials appear to have been complicit in property extortion of Palestinian Christian residents. Several attacks against Christians in Bethlehem went unaddressed by the PA, but authorities investigated attacks against Muslims in the same area.

And the anti-Christian ethnic cleansing of Palestinian controlled territories does not end there. It’s baked into the Palestinian Authority’s founding which declares that Islamic Sharia law is the basis for PA law.

And it’s not just the formal institutions of governance (such as they exist) that are partaking in the Palestinian efforts to remove “the Sunday people” from their midst. Kidnappings, murder, bombings and the like have all been utilized by Palestinians – be they police or terrorists, in Gaza they’re usually the same – to terrorize the Christian communities who find themselves under Arab rule.

So, Who’s Going After the Israelis?

Tragically, just as with some Lebanese Christian leaders (some of whom are now seeing the light), we have seen some Palestinian Christian leaders throw in with the Islamic supremacists in whose midst they exist. Some do it because they’re scared, some do it for the money – all will be judged accordingly.

Take for example Rev. Munther Isaac, the former pastor of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bethlehem and former academic dean of Bethlehem Bible College. Presently, he is the leader of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Hope in Ramallah and director of the Bethlehem Institute of Peace and Justice. He also likes to promote speakers at his biennial conference who argue (and we’re not making this up) that, “Jesus was a Palestinian who was born under occupation.”

In his book, (also not making this up) entitled “Christ in the Rubble,” Isaac writes,

For those who are quick to condemn the violence of Palestinians of October 7, I ask you to try walking in our shoes before lecturing us on how we should respond. Try living under the same circumstances, not for seventeen years, but for seventeen months–or even days–before saying how Gazans ought to respond to so many years of brutal mistreatment. [emphasis added].

Elsewhere in his book, Isaac claims not to support the horrors of the 10/7 massacre. Given that he, in the paragraph above, both justifies the terrorism and counts himself amongst the population responsible for it, one could be forgiven for rolling one’s eyes at the lip service Isaac pays to concepts like peace and nonviolence.

Moreover, according to reporting from the Jerusalem Post, Isaac, “…publicly justified the violence [of 10/7]. On October 8, 2023, one day after the Hamas massacre, Isaac delivered a sermon describing the attack as a natural response to the Gaza “siege,” noting the “strength of the Palestinian man who defied his siege.”

The Media Thinks You’re an Idiot

The media has recognized the largest and most consistent allies of Israel around the world are Christian Evangelicals. And they think that you’re a fool. They believe that you are biblically illiterate, and if someone wearing a cross says something, you’ll believe it to be true. They hope that some contortion of pseudo-tribalism will trump your love for God.

So, in fact, they’re the fools.

As CUFI founder and Chairman Pastor John Hagee has consistently reminded us, “Truth is not what I say it is, and not what you think it is. Truth is what God's word says it is.”

American Evangelical Christians are not the backwards, superficial caricatures apparently living rent free in the minds of CNN producers and the like. The base, anti-intellectual foundations of intersectionality are not found amongst Christian Zionists.

For those susceptible to demands of blind allegiance to a fictitious identity-politics driven moral hierarchy, CNN, Al Jazeera and their ilk are limited to the DSA-left and the White Supremacist Right. But you don’t have to take our word for it, just recall that Munther Isaac recently appeared on Tucker Calrson’s podcast, and you better believe the mouthpiece for terror and the other mouthpiece for terror got along famously.
