Dear
,

This week’s update comes to you from San Antonio, where CUFI has just wrapped up its largest Leadership Summit ever. Attendees at the event heard from a host of experts like the Foundation for Defense of Democracy’s Jonathen Schanzer and Lt. Col. Eyal Dror (IDF res.) as well as dignitaries like the State Department’s Special Envoy for Monitoring and Combating Anti-Semitism Elan Carr and Ambassador of Israel to the US Ron Dermer.

During the Summit, CUFI Action Fund team members briefed CUFI’s top activists on issues ranging from President Trump’s peace plan to the threats posed by Iran, Turkey and Hezbollah.

However, as the Summit concluded we were extremely troubled to learn that the UN Human Rights Office released a blacklist of more than 100 companies based in Judea and Samaria in a naked effort to single out Jews living and working in their Biblical heartland. This unabashedly anti-Semitic act is particularly malicious as it comes on the heels of the Trump administration releasing the most realistic proposal for peace in the Middle East in history.

Rest assured, the CUFI Action Fund is on the frontlines of combatting efforts to boycott and demonize Israel, and the UN’s actions today will be met with determination and resolve.

For years, we have fought to ensure anti-BDS legislation is advanced across the country. Twenty-eight states have adopted anti-BDS measures and several more will do so in the coming months. Likewise, the CUFI Action Fund is working to advance a similar federal measure. In Washington, the UN’s blacklist compels us to move this issue to the top of our agenda, and whether by a legislative or executive branch initiative, the Action Fund will leave no stone unturned until anti-BDS policy is implemented.

Thank you to all those who attended CUFI’s Leadership Summit this week. As our efforts move forward, we will continue to keep Action Update readers informed and prepared to ensure Israel is defended in every way possible.

Sincerely,
CUFI Action Fund Team
