In mid-January of 2024, less than three months after the 10/7 Massacre, The New York Times ran a story with the following headline, “U.N. Warns Gaza Is Heading for Famine as Specter of Wider War Looms.” In the past week, the same paper has run news articles and op-eds with such inflammatory headlines as “The World Cannot Stand by With Gaza on the Brink of Famine.” So, we’ve been hearing about this for a while. Seems odd, no? Let’s dissect the fiction.

Bombs, Boycotts and Bull….

Seeking to wipe the Jewish people of the face of the earth is not novel. As we’ve seen, Hamas and its supporters – from Tehran to Harvard – are comfortable killing Jews in order to achieve their aims. Unfortunately for them, it’s not 1938 and the Jewish people have a state and an army.

Palestinian terrorists have been trying to use violence to wipe Israel out since the day of her modern independence. And they have failed. Nonetheless, they keep trying violence because many in Gaza have been raised to believe that being violent is the natural state of the “Palestinian.” But the Jew haters have not stopped there. They’ve grown their efforts to delegitimize Israel on the world’s stage.

For the Jew-haters, the BDS movement was supposed to be the long-awaited victorious strategy after decades of trying to find a slander that would stick against the Jewish state. But in large part, BDS has been defeated in the U.S. With 37 states having passed relevant measures and the federal government considering the same, BDS will not destroy Israel as its backers and founders intended.

The apartheid line, so often promoted by the BDS movement, didn’t work; and the “Gaza is the world’s largest open-air prison” lie didn’t work; and “the Jews are harvesting Palestinian’s organs” (we did not make this up, this was actually promoted by the PA) did not work. Clearly, a new slander is needed. Hence, the starvation of Gaza line.

As the above headlines clearly indicate, the world has been hearing about Gaza’s impending famine for at least 18 months. But all the spilled ink in the world still didn’t work. In the end, what/all it took was one faked photograph to send the fictional famine claim around the world.

Fictional Famine

Specifically, a photo of a Gazan boy with a genetic condition that makes him look malnourished spread around the internet. The fact that the boy isn’t in Gaza and hasn’t been for weeks, and is being treated for his condition, is irrelevant to those seeking to advance a narrative over the truth.

This is not to say that life in Gaza is easy; it isn’t. After all, it’s a war. Despite this, Israel is doing what she can to alleviate the terrorist-induced suffering of the Gazan people. In fact, since the beginning of the conflict, nearly 1.9 million tons of aid have been delivered into the Gaza Strip.

Moreover, on account of the UN being unwilling to deliver aid – due to threat of Palestinian terrorism – Israel has now started airdropping aid directly to the Gazan people.

All of this noted, we would be remiss not to add that there are indeed people suffering from food insecurity in this world. In fact, nearly 14 million children in the United States and more than 730 million people worldwide suffer from such every day.

The fictionalized famine in Gaza not only harms efforts to see the hostages released and the terrorists wiped out, but it also serves as both insult and injury to those who are actually suffering from hunger.

Enough

This discussion is largely what Hamas and its ilk are hoping the world will focus upon. Rather than ask about the health and well-being of the hostages, Hamas wants the world to ask itself if there is a famine in Gaza. And it’s no coincidence that the deluge of anti-Israel propaganda on the airwaves that we’ve seen in recent days comes just as cease-fire talks with Hamas broke down over the terrorists’ maximalist demands.

The international humanitarian cartel and its allies in the media are prolonging this war and rewarding terrorism. In fact, so far gone are many in Europe that France plans to recognize a Palestinian state at the UN in September, and the UK is considering the same.

Europe is trying to turn 10/7 into “Palestine’s” 07/04, but that effort, just like the bombs, the boycotts and all the other… stuff will fail.

As CUFI founder and Chairman Pastor John Hagee remarked during the 2025 CUFI Washington Summit, “For Hamas and its ilk, the blood spilt on October 7th by Gazan rapists and murderers is the logical conclusion to the decades of antisemitic incitement that serves as the cornerstone for the falsely named pro-Palestinian movement. The farcical idea of a pro-Palestinian movement died on October 7th.”

Gaza is being fed not because of international pressure but because of the Jewish value system that guides the actions of the world’s one and only Jewish state.

Israel and her supporters have had enough of lectures from Europeans who so quickly forget their own reactions to Islamist terrorism in their midst; we’ve had enough of playing whack-a-mole with such obviously false narratives as to be laughable if they weren’t so deadly;  and, as such, Israel and her supporters are not going to allow the lies and manipulations of Gazan terrorists and their supporters to impact any effort to bring the hostages home, and bring all of “Palestine’s” terrorists to their knees.

Sincerely,
