American defense personnel believe an Iranian attack on Israel is imminent. The Biden administration, while expressing support for Israel against Iran, has sought to kneecap Israel’s efforts to swiftly defeat Iran’s proxy, Hamas. Of the more than 130 hostages remaining in captivity, reports are trickling out that the majority have been killed. Congress has not yet passed emergency aid to Israel since the 10/07 massacre. It’s been more than six months. In this week’s edition of the Action Update there is only one topic:

Stopping a Wider War in the Middle East

CUFI founder and Pastor John Hagee has often noted that “love is not what you say; love is what you do.” And Christians are called to love the Children of Israel.

On Monday, 250 ministry and community leaders will gather in Washington for an emergency fly-in to meet with members of the House of Representatives and urge rapid advancement of an emergency supplemental aid package for Israel.

As you read this, Christian leaders from as near as Virginia and as far as Alaska are answering the call. They have a clarity of mission and purpose, and they know that they are walking a righteous path.

As our readers know, America’s Christian Zionists are fed up with our government’s pitiful response to Hamas’s barbarity. Moreover, we recognize that the combination of Biden’s betrayals of Israel and continued Congressional dithering will embolden those who would wipe Israel from the face of the earth.

The only way to defeat terrorism is to actually defeat it. Peace cannot be achieved by pressuring the peaceful society that was attacked.

The Biden administration must change its view of this conflict: it is not a war just between Hamas and Israel, this is one battle – albeit the bloodiest – in the larger war between the Russian-Iranian-Chinese Axis and the West.

As such, Western leaders should be standing by allies and condemning adversaries. They should welcome and enable Israel’s destruction of Hamas, not only because it is just, but because it is the surest way to avoid Hezbollah and others sparking a regional war.

And next week, we’re going to make sure that every member of the House with whom we meet understands exactly that.

It’s been six months. There are no excuses, there are no newfound domestic priorities, and there are no petty political grievances that can justify continuing to leave Israel alone in the world as it holds the line against radical Islamic imperialism.

Sincerely,

The CUFI Action Fund Team
